Sleep Republic vs Zinus

How do mattresses from Zinus compare with Sleep Republic’s mattress?

Zinus is a mattress company from South Korea that has been around since 1979. More recently, they’ve started selling their mattresses online to a global audience. Today, they’re mostly known as a ‘mattress in a box’ company. Sleep Republic also sells a mattress in a box: one that is designed in Australia, for Australian conditions.

If you’re looking to buy a mattress over the internet, which should you choose? In this article, we’ll go through some of the differences between our Sleep Republic mattress and the mattresses from Zinus so that you can make a more informed decision on your purchase.

Australia’s best overall mattress in a box

You don’t have to take our word for it; independent bedding reviewer Bedbuyer has awarded Sleep Republic ‘Best Australian Overall Mattress in a Box’ 3 years running. So, when compared to Zinus specifically, what makes a Sleep Republic mattress so special?

A removable cashmere cover

Sleep Republic’s mattress has a removable, washable cashmere cover. Zinus’ cover is not cashmere, and if you remove the cover, it will expose fibreglass and void the warranty.

Extra support around the edges

High tensile springs around the edge of the Sleep Republic mattress stop sagging and prevents people from rolling off the bed in their sleep.

High pocket spring count

Zinus offers conventional springs in their spring and hybrid mattresses. But at Sleep Republic, you get up to 2,500 high definition springs for maximised support.

Latex for hot Aussie summers

An Australian summer demands an Australian mattress. The latex layer in Sleep Republic’s mattress improves airflow and stops excess sweating.

Comfortable memory foam

The memory foam used in a Sleep Republic mattress was developed by NASA and delivers extraordinary comfort.

Get better airflow with 3D panels

Sleep Republic’s mattress uses next-level 3D panels designed to improve airflow in hot Aussie conditions. Zinus uses normal, flat panels that aren’t tailored to our climate.

The best of both worlds: a hybrid mattress

Foam mattresses have some positives, like a certain level of comfort, but there are drawbacks, too: they can sag, and they don’t offer as much support as they could. At Sleep Republic, we sell a hybrid mattress with the positives of both foam and springs, to stop sagging and give you the support you need.

Backed by a 12-year warranty

Zinus has a limited 10-year warranty, and you void it if you remove the mattress cover. At Sleep Republic, not only is the warranty 12 years, but you can remove the mattress cover any time you like.

Try Sleep Republic risk-free

If you don’t love the Sleep Republic mattress within 150 nights, send it back for a full refund. No questions asked.

Soft, natural cashmere

Don’t settle for second best. Sleep Republic’s mattress is covered in cashmere, one of the world’s softest and most desirable fabrics.
